MILLBURN, NJ - In the township committee meeting held earlier this month, the members of the committee voted to ask Essex County's permission to install two new electronics speed indicator signs.

The signs would be placed on Millburn Avenue in close proximity to Millburn High School, in order to remind drivers to follow the posted speed limits. The signs would have violator lights to slow drivers should they go over the 25 mile-per-hour speed limit posted on that road.

As part of the request, the town agrees to hold Essex County harmless from any claims and litigation filed in regards to the signs. Additionally, the county would have the right to remove the signs should they become an issue.
