MILLBURN, NJ — Yesterday afternoon, Millburn mayor Jackie Lieberberg put out a township email and phone call. Several key excerpts of the information are listed below:
There are currently 115 confirmed patients with COVID 19 in Millburn Township. There are many residents that have recovered throughout the Township, and we are continually grateful for their perseverance. Essex County is reporting 11,305 patients throughout the county.
Township Parks remain open, with daily monitoring by Township staff and the Millburn Police Department. Keep up the great work and adherence to social distancing. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask outside while enjoying the parks, please do so. While wearing masks outside is not a requirement it is certainly a good practice in our parks as we continue to provide a safe and convenient passive recreational space.
The food pantry is stocked— all confidential—reach out to Ana Millan—973-535-7961 X 231
A special thank you to The 8th-grade SOAR Peer Leaders from Millburn Middle who have designed some spring mandala designs for our senior population. They went outside in their yards or stayed in and created works of art with them in mind. Pictures of the project have been shared by the Township’s Senior Citizen Coordinator to bring a bit of color and beauty to our seniors.
Kudos and much gratitude to our community. The MSH Flag group has just crossed the $50K donation line and continues to provide community sponsored meals to first responders and support our local businesses as well. Please continue to donate as they are actively engaged in putting the funds back into our local community.
