MILLBURN, NJ - As a result of recent weather patterns, including excessive rain and high temperatures, Essex County will be partnering with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection Office of Mosquito Control Coordination to conduct an aerial spray.
The spray regimen is to control mosquito larva and will be conducted on Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25 between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Locations for the spray program and treatment include the Passaic River floodplains in Millburn, Fairfield, West Caldwell, Roseland and Livingston.
Residents may see low flying helicopters in the area depositing granules during the treatment. The granules used are naturally occurring larvicides and harmless to humans and animals. Residents in town should not be concerned.
