MIDDLESEX COUNTY, N.J. — Peter Nguyen, Millburn High School's head volleyball coach and a bookkeeper for the Millburn Township Board of Education, was arrested today and charged with one count of sexual contact with a 14-year old female who was a member of the Impact Volleyball Club. Nguyen also faces two second degree counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count for giving alcohol to the minor and one third-degree count of aggravated criminal sexual contact.

The Woodbridge Police Department opened an investigation after the victim's parents alerted the authorities. The investigation determined that on two occasions Nguyen inappropriately sexually touched the victim who he supplied with alcohol during both instances.

Nguyen has been a bookkeeper for the Millburn Board of Education and also served as the head volleyball coach for three years, leading the lady millers to a 11-12 record in the 2017 season.
