MILLBURN, NJ — Earlier this afternoon, first responders were called to the scene at Lakeside Village Apartments, after a car collided with one of the buildings in the complex, located at 72 Lakeside Dr.

The car, a white Volkswagen Jetta, had jumped the curb and made contact with the building at what appeared to be a relatively low rate of speed. No injuries were reported, although the building did suffer minor damage according to one of the authorities on scene.

Patricia Carlisle, one of the residents in a nearby apartment in the complex said that she had not seen the initial crash, but was drawn outside in its aftermath.

"The sirens brought me out, and the voices of the firemen," Carlisle said. "We came out, and we were seeing what was going on and this is what happened. We saw [the car] going into the side of the house, and we were just curious of what was going on."

TAPinto Millburn/Short Hills reached out to the Millburn Police Department for further information regarding the incident, but as of press time, had not heard back yet. The story will be updated when that information is received.
