MILLBURN, NJ - The following is the Millburn Police Blotter from Oct. 22-Oct. 29:

On October 22, 2019 Millburn Police Officer O’Neill responded to the Fendi store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Fendi personnel report a black female with green curly hair took a wallet valued at $400.00 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On October 23, 2019 Millburn Police Officer O’Neill was flagged down by a Walgreen’s employee regarding a theft that just occurred. The employee reports the theft of $227.93 worth of merchandise from an individual who was located on Rt 124 in Springfield. Edil Hernandez-Torres, age 36 of Newark, was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting the $227.93 as well as $464.33 worth of merchandise on October 22, 2019. Mr. Hernandez-Torres was released to the East Hanover Police Department on an outstanding warrant.

On October 23, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Lanni responded to White Oak Ridge Rd/Hemlock Rd on a report of a motor vehicle accident. The investigation led to the arrest of 72 year old Manuel Neto of East Hanover for driving under the influence and careless driving. Mr. Neto was issued a summons and released.

On October 23, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Royce responded to Rt 124/Broad St on a report of a motor vehicle accident. The investigation led to the arrest of 54 year old Joseph Piscioneri of Summit for driving under the influence and assault by auto. Mr. Piscioneri was issued a summons and released.

On October 25, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Larcom responded to Bloomingdales on a theft report. Bloomingdales personnel report 22 year old Kanaya Fillmore of Newark took a hat valued at $320.00 and left the store without making payment. Ms. Fillmore was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting, hindering, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Dominique Reid, age 24 of Newark, was also placed under arrest on an outstanding Millburn criminal warrant. Ms. Fillmore was released to the Woodbridge Police Department on an outstanding warrant. Ms. Reid was remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On October 25, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Laverty responded to a Knollwood Rd residence on a report of a residential burglary. A realtor reports an unknown actor/s forced open the front door overnight, however nothing appears to be missing. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On October 27, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to the Roseland Police Department on a warrant arrest. Shadiq Barr, age 27 of Newark, was placed under arrest on an outstanding traffic warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On October 27, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Wichelns responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in which the driver fled. The investigation led to the arrest of 25 year old Harinder Singh of Maplewood for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. Mr. Singh was issued a summons and released.

On October 28, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Marone responded to the Gucci store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. A Gucci employee reports a black male wearing a grey denim jacket and black sneakers took his $1100.00 Iphone 11 from the rear of the store. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On October 28, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Kostovski responded to Macys on a fraud report. Macys personnel report 23 year old Hazel Garcia and 26 year old Edgardo Contin both of the Bronx together charged $2136.40 worth of merchandise with a temporary credit card they opened under someone else’s name. Both individuals were placed under arrest and charged with forgery and credit card fraud before being released on a summons.

On October 28, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Crawn responded to reports of motor vehicle burglaries on Silver Spring Rd and South Orange Ave. The Silver Spring Rd resident reports his 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee was entered and a cell phone holder valued at $25.00 was taken. The South Orange Ave resident reports her 2016 Honda CRV was entered, however nothing was taken. Both incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On October 29, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Aliotta stopped a 2004 Ford Explorer on Rt 124/Broad St for an inoperable headlight and tinted windows. The investigation led to the arrest of 44 year old Dashawn Dennis of Hillside for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Mr. Dennis was issued a summons and released.

 These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
