MILLBURN, NJ — The following is the Millburn Police Department Blotter from Feb. 26 to March 4:

On February 26, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2010 BMW 328i for an inoperable headlight on South Orange Ave near JFK Parkway.    His investigation led to the arrest of Alexander Mishkevich, age 18, of Jay, NY for possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance and Paraphernalia.  Mishkevich was charged on a summons and later released. 

On February 28, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Lanni responded to a Northbrook Drive residence on a report of burglary to a motor vehicle. The resident reported that overnight unknown actors entered her vehicle and rummaged through it while parked in her driveway.  This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 28, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Smeraldo responded to a Cayuga Way residence on a report of burglary to a motor vehicle. The resident reported that overnight unknown actors entered his vehicle and rummaged through it while parked in his driveway.  This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 28, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Kostovski responded to a Silver Spring Rd residence on a report of burglary to a motor vehicle. The resident reported that overnight unknown actors entered his vehicle while parked in his driveway and stole his wallet. This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 28, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Beyer responded to a Sylvan Way residence on a report of burglary to a motor vehicle. The resident reported that overnight unknown actors entered her vehicle while parked in her driveway and stole earbuds.  This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 28, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Lanni responded to a Seminole Way residence on a report of theft of a motor vehicle. The resident reported that overnight unknown actors stole his BMX X4 while parked in his driveway.  The vehicle was later recovered in Elizabeth. This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 28, 2020 Millburn Police Lt. Ronceray stopped a vehicle for failure to maintain his lane on South Orange Ave, near Bruce Path.   The investigation led to the arrest of Ezra Payne, age 68, of Newark, NJ for possession of a controlled dangerous substance(marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Payne was subsequently issued summonses and released. 

On February 29, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2020 Lexus NX300 for failure to maintain his lane on South Orange Ave at Old Short Hills Rd.   The investigation led to the arrest of Tyrone Covin, age 48, of West Orange, NJ for driving while intoxicated. Covin was subsequently issued summonses for DWI and refusal to submit to breath tests and later released.  

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
