MILLBURN, NJ — The following is the Millburn Police Department Blotter from Jan. 23 to Jan. 28:

On January 22, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Nacim responded to Abercrombie at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Abercrombie personnel reported that 2 black females, one wearing black puffy jacket and black sweatpants, concealed numerous bottles of men’s cologne, valued at $2436.00 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On January 23, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Hunt responded to Bloomingdales at The Mall at Short Hills on a fraud report. Bloomingdales personnel reported that a black male identified as Christ Theodore, age 29 of East Meadow, NY, purchased 2 Canadian Goose jackets for $1550.00 using a stolen credit card. An unidentified female with Theodore attempted to purchase two additional jackets but the transaction was declined. The female left the store abruptly and Theodore was placed under arrest and charged with theft by deception and credit card fraud before being released on a summons.  The incident in under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On January 23, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Smeraldo responded to Fendi at the Mall at Short Hills, report of a shoplifting. Fendi personnel reported that 3 black females, one wearing a green jacket and sunglasses and one wearing a grey scarf with short hair, and one with a light green jacket and TJMAXX bag, concealed two Fendi handbags, value $7790.00 and left the store without making payment. This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On January 24, 2020, Millburn Police Officers responded to a Sylvan Way residence on a report of a burglary.  Resident reported that between 6:40pm and 10:00pm, unknown individuals smashed their rear sliding glass door, entered the home and stole approximately $1300.00 in foreign currency.  This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.   

On January 25, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2015 Nissan Altima on Rte. 24 E/Hobart Gap for a violation of tinted front windows and a suspended driver’s license. The investigation led to the arrest of 27-year-old Rajohn Wilson of Newark, NJ for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Mr. Wilson was issued a summons and released.

On January 25, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Kelly responded to Bloomingdales as the Mall at Short Hills on a report of a theft. Bloomingdales personnel reported that a hispanic or black male, wearing a red baseball cap, black leather jacket, black pants with stripes and beige sneakers, concealed 2 handbags and 2 baseball caps, total value $1940.00 and left the store without making payment.   The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On January 27, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2010 Honda Civic on Rt 24 W/Summit Ave for a violation of tinted front windows. The investigation led to the arrest of 24-year-old Tanajfwa Swiney of Newark, NJ for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and an outstanding warrant out of Orange, NJ. Ms. Swiney was issued a summons and released.

 These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
