MILLBURN, NJ - The following is the Millburn Police Department Blotter from Dec. 3 to Dec. 10, 2019:

On December 3, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Larcom responded to the Mackage store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Mackage personnel report a black male approximately 5’10” tall wearing a tan trench coat, grey sweater with a bear on the front, carrying a garment bag took a coat valued at $850.00 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 4, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to headquarters on a theft report. The victim reports accidentally leaving his man belt purse in the bathroom of Starbucks on Millburn Ave between 2:30-3:30 pm, and upon his return was given the item by a Starbucks employee missing $1000.00 in cash. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 5, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Czupak responded to a Fox Hill Lane residence on a motor vehicle theft report. The victim reports unknown actor/s entered her open garage and took her 2018 Subaru Legacy. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 5, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Manuyag responded to headquarters on a burglary to motor vehicle report. The resident reports at approximately 6:55 am a grey Audi Q7 pulled up to his residence. A white female approximately 5’6” tall with brown hair and a slim build exited the Audi Q7 and entered his 2017 BMW X5 in his driveway. Nothing appears to have been taken. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 7, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to mall security on a report of a theft. A Starbuck’s employee reports the theft of her bookbag from the break room between 8:40-10:00 pm. The bag contained a black wallet, credit cards, $14.00 cash, and keys. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 8, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2017 Honda Accord on White Oak Ridge Rd near station 2 for an obstructed license plate. The investigation led to the arrest of 20 year old Tyshawn Carter of Newark for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. David Williams Jr, age 18 of Newark, was charged with hindering after providing false information. A 17 year old male from Newark was charged with hindering after providing false information. All three individuals were released with a summons.

On December 8, 2019 Millburn Police Officers Royce and Aliotta responded to the Irvington Police Department on a warrant arrest. Helen Cathcart, age 23 of Newark, was placed under arrest on an outstanding criminal warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On December 9, 2019 Millburn Police responded to a residential burglary on Hartshorn Drive. The resident reports a side door was forced open and 2 bedrooms were ransacked with an unknown amount of property taken. A Hilltop Rd resident reports unknown actor/s took off 2 screen doors and attempted to force open a front door but were unsuccessful. A Woodfield Dr resident reports an unknown actor attempted to open her patio doors but were unsuccessful. All three incidents occurred between 5-5:43 pm and are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 9, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Royce was flagged down by a motorist on Rt 24 West who reported a possible drunk driver. Officer Royce drove up Rt 24 West and noticed a 2017 Ford Escape weaving between the shoulder and right lane almost striking the curb. The vehicle was stopped on Rt 24 West/Summit Ave and the investigation led to the arrest of 29 year old Brittany Yeager of Cranford for driving under the influence. Ms. Yeager was issued a summons and released.

 These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
