MILLBURN, NJ - In an effort to foster better relations between the police and the community they serve, the Millburn Police Department will be taking part in National Coffee with a Cop Day on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

The event, now in its fourth year nation-wide, will be held at the Starbucks on the corner of Main Street and Millburn Avenue from from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on that day. Officers from the department will situated inside the store, as well as the outside courtyard.

National Coffee with a Cop day is a day dedicated to encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the public. According to the event website, it was first done in 2011 when Officers from the Hawthorne Police Department were looking for ways to interact more successfully with the citizens they served each day.
