SPRINGFIELD, NJ - A family home at 92 Battle Hill Ave. was destroyed by a suspected electrical fire on Monday morning. The residents all made it out alive and would like assistance in finding their gray cat. The two other cats perished in the blaze.

The Millburn Fire Department responded to the three alarm blaze called in at approximately 9:15 a.m. Monday morning. Crews in from Elizabeth, Summit, Linden, Scotch Plains-Fanwood, Cranford.  The Union County Operations Manager was on scene. 

According to Springfield Fire Chief Carlo Palumbo, the County Arson Investigator was also on the scene.  The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, but is thought to be electrical in nature.
