MILLBURN, NJ — Several hours ago, members of the Millburn Fire Department, joined by police officers and first aid squad members, were on scene at Canoe Brook Country Club extinguishing a fire that had broken out in a structure on the premises.

According to Millburn Fire Chief Robert Echavarria, the call of a fire on premises was received by the department at 6:57 p.m. When they arrived, they were joined by additional first responders from town.

Echavarria said that upon arriving at the fire, firefighters hit the flames with a high volume and pressure water hose, as well as additional smaller, handheld hoses to eventually knock down the blaze.
