MILLBURN, NJ - At Tuesday's township committee meeting, the newest member of the Millburn police force was ceremonially sworn in.

Edward Dundon, a 23-year-old Roxbury, NJ resident, was introduced by Millburn Police Chief Brian Gilfedder, who read off a list of his accomplishments.

Gilfedder noted that Dundon had graduated from Roxbury High School in 2014, before going on to receive a four-year degree in psychology from Montclair State University.

Dundon has also been a volunteer fireman with the Mt. Arlington Fire Department since 2015, achieving the rank of 2nd Lt. during his time there. He was joined at the ceremony by his mother Mary Ann, girlfriend Melyssa and several friends.

Having now been sworn in, Dundon will go to the Essex County Police Academy for Training.
