ROBBINSVILLE, NJ - Yesterday afternoon, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) announced the recipients for its sportsmanship award banner.
Millburn was among five teams honored in the Super Essex Conference. The others were West Essex High School, Columbia High School, St. Vincent Academy and Irvington High School. According to the press release sent out by the NJSIAA, a total of 79 schools will be receiving an NJSIAA Sportsmanship Banner as a reward for their conduct during the 2018-19 school year.
In a post on the athletics twitter page, Millburn responded by simply saying "Millers are one of the recipients!!!! Great day to be a miller!!!! This is our goal every season!!!!"
The NJSIAA is in its 100th year and serves as the governing body for all high school sports in the state.
