MILLBURN, NJ - The weather could not have been much worse as Millburn and West Essex dueled on a rainy afternoon at Neigel field.

However, the end of the game arrived with Millburn on solid footing after a 4-3 victory.

Jason mazer would open the scoring for Millburn with a first half goal. Rory McLaughlin would also punch a score in during the first half, as Millburn was deadlocked 2-2 at halftime.

Blake Wiseman would open the second half scoring for Millburn, and Alex Migoya would also score in the second half as well.

Boys Soccer Head Coach Jason Robinson spoke about his team's performance after the game

"It was the last game before states," Robinson said. "This is not a lot going on. So we just wanted to keep everyone in, keep everyone healthy. The win was good, but realistically, just no red cards, no injuries. Just [the] next game."

Millburn will be back in action for the state playoffs this upcoming Tuesday against Mendham. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
