MILLBURN, NJ - Playing in their first game of the state playoffs the Millburn Girls Soccer team came out of the gate swinging, and never looked back in a 5-0 rout of Belleville.

Chloe Zegas potted an early hat trick, Carly Bernstein added a goal, and the Buccaneers also conceded an own goal. All the Miller tallies were scored before halftime. Neither team scored in the second half.

Speaking with TAPinto after the game, Zegas said that being able to go out on top in what will likely be her final home game was a fun experience.

"It's really exciting, because as I said, it was our last home game," Zegas said. "So it's nice to have fans [here] and just a happy experience and stuff."

Additionally, Zegas also said that the early blowout allowed some girls on Millburn who had not gotten into the game often to see action, which was fun for her.

Millburn will play their next playoff game this Thursday at 1:00 p.m., when they face off against the winner of Sommerville and Nutley. A Somerville victory will send them on the road, while a Nutley win gives them another home game.
