MILLBURN, NJ — Whatever got into the Millburn Ice Hockey team between their last two games needs to be fixed as soon as possible if the Millers are looking to make the climb back to the top of the mountain in the Kelly Division.
Millburn dropped a 6-2 decision to Verona/Glen Ridge on Monday, the team's second consecutive loss. Matt Riskin scored both fo the goals for the Millers, who trailed for most of the game. Aiden Brennan led Verona/Glen Ridge with two goals on the day.
'Definitely when we're missing some of our leaders we're going to have a negative impact," Doria said. "But I just don't think we were there. We weren't there, we weren't working. We didn't work tonight, with Potechin or without. They took it to us al game...I think it's just a matter of the kids have to be focused and ready to go."
Doria also said that the team looked flat coming out in warmups, and that he a look to switch the lines around to find chemistry. Millburn takes the ice today for a contest against Morristown. Puck drop is scheduled fro 5:45 p.m.
