Congratulations to all the Millburn Recreation Basketball Champions for 2019-2020!

4th Grade Boys: The Clippers defeated the Mavericks 31-7 led by Chase Perilman who had 14 points and Graham Vogel who finished with 11 points.

4th Grade Girls: The Comets prevailed in a nail biter holding on to a two point lead going into the 4th quarter and ultimately defeating the Liberty 14-6. Blake Plotkin led the Comets with 8 points scoring all of her points in the final quarter.

5th Grade Boys: Despite being down early in the game, the Knicks defeated the top-seeded Celtics 29-25 led by Jacob Gerstel who scored 12 points and Cole Luber who finished with 10 points. William Blake led the Celtics with 13 points in the loss.

6th Grade Boys: Lukas Kaplan and Henry Foster led the Rockets in a 38-21 win over the Magic. Kaplan finished with 13 points while Foster finished with 10.

5th-6th Grade Girls: The Sooners defeated the Bruins 16-12 behind Paridhi Tyagi’s game high 10 points. The Bruins were down 16-4 heading into the final quarter, held the Sooners scoreless in the 4th quarter, but were unable to complete the comeback.

7th-8th Boys: The Black Knights down 25-21 at halftime dominated the second half to grab the championship with a 47-40 win over the Hurricanes. Cooper Titan led the Black Knights with 25 points while Tristan Simpson finished with 20. Chase Wexelman led the Hurricanes with 19 points in their loss.

7th-8th Girls: The Dream defeated the Storm 25-16 led by Lexi Coulthard’s 9 points. Eden Kirschenbaum finished with 6 points for the Dream.
