Millburn Recreation Swim Team Prepares for the Summer Season

MILLBURN, NJ - The summer season is coming soon, and the Millburn Township Pool is preparing for the warm weather ahead and looking back at last summer with immense pride. Last season, the Millburn Summer Recreational Swim Team grew by 40% and finished the season 5-3 in a higher division and continues to grow stronger year after year.

During the season, members perfect their strokes, build strength and stamina, experience real team camaraderie and develop a strong sense of sportsmanship. Practice takes place every morning beginning in late June and during the month of July with a commitment to training and building the team’s talent and strengthening the swim team family.

The success of the 2016 season was due to the dedication of our swimmers, their families, and the coaches. The swim team is a family, giving young people the opportunity to grow and compete among friends. Each summer, new friendships are formed and existing ones are strengthened. Millburn Recreation is a formidable team because swimmers come back year after year to learn and grow together. Great pride comes in developing new swimmers who want to gain skills that will last a lifetime and experience competition in a highly supportive environment.
