COLONIA, NJ — Goliath is out, and David is standing over him with his sling.

The Millburn Boys Soccer team was able to shock second-seeded Colonia in the NJSIAA state playoffs on the road, as Alex Migoya provided overtime heroics in a 2-1 victory for the Millers.

Migoya was joined in the scoring column by his younger brother Malcom, who scored in the second half to draw Millburn Level with Colonia.

Speaking with TAPinto after returning home from the game, Migoya said that first and foremost, he was proud of everything the team accomplished in the win.

"I love these guys," Migoya said. "We really do deserve it. We worked our butt off for this win...We really deserved it. We played our hearts out."

Additionally, Migoya said that in his eyes, the team was beginning to round into form as the state playoffs continue deeper into the fall.

"I mean, there is still a couple of adjustments to be made," he added. "But besides that, we're playing really well. And we beat up on the two seed, so it's a good feeling. It's definitely a good feeling."

Millburn will be back in action this Tuesday at home against West Morris. Kick off is 2:00 p.m.
