SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Spotswood police officers, Sergeant Edward Schapley, Lieutenant Les Genovese and Patrolman Adam Sabatino were visiting both the Memorial Middle School and Spotswood High School this week to hand out applications to the Spotswood Police Department's Junior Police Academy to interested teens. Applications can also be picked up at the dispatch window in the Municipal Building on 77 Summerhill Road. The program will be held during the summer and is geared toward teens entering grades eight through 11. It is designed to give youngsters an up close look at a career in law enforcement. The class will be limited to 25 participants. Applications will be accepted on first-come-first serve basis.
