SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School Band will be holding a car wash/clothing drive on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fundraising event will be held at the Spotswood High School on Summerhill Road.

Residents are invited to bring their cars by the high school for a wash as well as drop off clothes for the clothing drive. The proceeds from the event will go to help the band as they work to raise money to finance their annual spring band trip.

In the past, the Spotswood High School concert band, jazz band and honors wind ensemble have traveled to Orlando, Atlanta, Toronto and Cincinnati to play. Last year, they performed at a Festival of Music competition in Boston where the concert band earned first place honors while the jazz band placed second and the honors wind ensemble third. All three Spotswood High School bands were awarded a rating of excellent at the festival.

The destination of this year's spring band night will be announced at Spotswood High School's Back to School Night on Thursday, September 24 by the band program's director and high school music instructor, Sarah Carino-Koza.
