HIGHLAND PARK, NJ - The Spotswood High School varsity football team started off the 2017 season with three straight loses. They finally broke through in the win column last week against Dunellen behind the offense generated by senior quarterback Chance Fee. Fee was the third quarterback of the day last Saturday afternoon. However, against Highland Park High School on October 7, Fee started the game.

The Chargers were ahead 21-7 by the halftime break and added 14 points in the third quarter to nail down a 35-0 win over the struggling Owls. Fee threw two touchdown passes to spur the Chargers' offense. Eddie Rogers and Ray Burenko were the recipients of Fee's passes to help improve Spotswood's overall record to 2-3. The three time Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division champs are 2-2 in conference play. South River High School leads the division with a 4-0 record.

Shea Obado rushed for another Charger touchdown while Edgardo Velasco threw a TD pass to Nick Vincelli to complete the rout over Highland Park.

Spotswood will look to hit the .500 mark under the lights on Friday, October 13 when they travel south to take on Point Pleasant Beach High School at G. Harold Antrim Elementary School. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Point Pleasant Beach is 3-2 after losing to Keansburg High School, 51-43 yesterday.
