SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School girls varsity soccer team won their second straight game with a 4-0 victory over Carteret at home this afternoon. The Chargers scored the lone goal in the first half, but blew the game wide open in the second half with three goals.

Most of the game was spent in the Carteret end with the Chargers putting 15 shots on goal. Carteret had only one shot on the Spotswood net throughout the entire game.

Jessica Meagher scored her third goal of the season while her sister, freshman Amber Meagher notched the first goal of her high school career. Erin Thuring and Megan Gallagher also put in goals for the Chargers.

Lizzie Vignuolo had a quiet afternoon in net, but still earned her second straight shut out for Spotswood. Kate Pena made 11 saves for Carteret.

The junior varsity team routed Carteret's junior varisty squad in a 9-0 victory, making it another great outing for the ladies.

They take on Middlesex tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. for an away game.
