DUNELLEN, NJ - The Spotswood High School varsity football team started off the 2015-16 season with a big conference win over Dunellen. Joe Hayford powered the Chargers with three touchdowns as Spotswood powered past Dunellen 37-6.

Spotswood jumped out to a 23 point lead in the first quarter. Hayford rushed for 46-yards to score his first touchdown of the game before adding another one on a 51-yard rush. He also scored on an 18-yard interception. It was a big game for the 5'8" 175-pound senior who also serves as captain for the varsity squad.

James Liu and Jack Keenan also scored touchdowns for the Chargers while kicker, Connor McCloskey connected on a 31-yard field goal.

Mike Gedavani scored the only touchdown for Dunellen on a 76-yard run.
