SOMERVILLE, NJ  - GOP gubernatorial hopeful Jack Ciattarelli, who has spent his entire life living and working in Somerset County and several decades representing the residents of central New Jersey towns, easily won the endorsement of the Somerset County Republican Organization at Tuesday night's county convention.

Ciattarelli, a state Assemblyman (R-16th) and resident of Hillsborough, won the endorsement with 170 votes; Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno received 16 votes and Hirsh Singh received 7 votes.

“We are thrilled to have our favorite son anchoring Somerset County’s Republican line in this year’s primary," said Somerset County GOP Chairman Al Gaburo. "Jack garnered a 170-16-7 vote margin and we couldn’t be prouder. A successful entreprenuer and Main Street business owner with a comprehensive five-point plan to fix our state, Jack is far and away our party’s best candidate for Governor.”

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote (Random House, 1965)

In Cold Blood is, quite simply, the grand-daddy of true crime writing, dubbed by Capote, himself, as the first non-fiction novel (although Norman Mailer argued the point when he published The Executioner's Song in 1979.) The conditions under which I read In Cold Blood for the first time were pretty weird, which was another ...
