SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Democrats had a strong night in most of Middlesex County's election results, however one seat is still undecided in the 14th assembly district, encompassing Spotswood.
Democrat Linda Greenstein defeated Republican Peter Inverso by a margin of 51 to 47 percent to win the State Senate race in the 14th district.
Democrat Wayne DeAngelo was elected in the 14th Assembly District. However, the remaining seat was still up for grabs, as only three votes separated Republican Steve Cook and Democrat Daniel Benson in Middlesex County, while the results in Mercer County were still being tabulated.
All three Middlesex County Freeholder spots went to Democrats, with Blanquita Valenti, Charles Kenny, and Kenneth Armwood defeating their Republican rivals.
Middlesex County Sheriff Mildred Scott was re-elected.
In the Spotswood Town Council vote, incumbent Nicholas Legakis ran unopposed for a new term on the Council.
In the Spotswood Board Of Education vote, William LoSchiavo and Ronald Dittman were elected to new three-year terms, as they ran unopposed.
