SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Community of Hope Ministries is making a last call for much-needed school supplies for local families. For the past three years, COHM has organized a school supply drive to assist local families who are struggling financially to provide back to school items for their children. Since the school year begins on September 2, they are asking that any donations be given by Friday, August 21.

Donations of any school supplies such as crayons, pencils, pens, markers, scissors, rulers, loose leaf paper, notebooks or other school-related items can be dropped off in the following locations:

  • Spotswood Shop Rite - a collection box is located at the store exit
  • St. Peter's Church at 505 Main Street - donations can be brought Thursday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. or be left on the porch

Currently, they are badly in need of backpacks.

Please contact Maureen Barlow at moebarlow@aol.com with questions or if any resident would like to volunteer with the effort.
