East Brunswick: Investigation Leads to Major Heroin Arrest in Residential Neighborhood


EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - An extended investigation by the East Brunswick Police lead to an arrest and multiple drug-related charges in a residential neighborhood off Old Bridge Turnpike last week.

On June 9, 2017 at approximately 9pm, the East Brunswick Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit executed a narcotics search warrant at 6 Allison Drive and on its resident, Manuel Santiago, according to a report issued by Lt. Sean Goggins of the EBPD today.

The search warrants were a result of a two-month-long investigation by the Anti-Crime Unit which revealed Santiago distributing Heroin within the township.

As a result of the investigation and search warrants, Santiago was found to be in possession of nearly 11 bricks of Heroin, totaling 530 bags, 8 Suboxone films, hypodermic syringes, raw marijuana, digital scales, and a large number of empty bags and rubber bands used for packaging Heroin.

Santiago, 28, was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Suboxone, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Hypodermic Syringes and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Santiago was released pending court.
