EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Dan Pinter, General Manager of Jersey Fine Wines at the intersection of Route 18 South and Racetrack Road, knows his business. He is glad to offer the best prices in East Brunswick on beers and wines, an impressive amount of choices, and a wide variety of all sorts of adult beverages. He's got the tastes of local imbibers in his memory and experience.
Pinter graduated from Spotswood High School in 2000 and has worked in many roles in the alcohol distribution business here in East Brunswick. He worked as a shelf stocker, cashier, and manager in Bilow's in EB and Wine World on Route 18 North. When Wine World "flipped over" to the former Pathmark Shopping Plaza on Route 18 South, he went along for the ride. the new location lies between Aldi and Burlington in a renovated retail center that also features several new businesses. (Jersey Fine Wines has a second location in New Providence, too.)
"This time of year," Pinter says, "Is a great time for beer and football." Pinter displayed the variety of New Jersey craft beers available at the store, including Cape May, Carton, and River Horse. "Kane will be available by the end of the year, " he said.
Rose', a popular varietal wine for the past few years, is available in abundance. As one would expect, wine continues to be a best seller at Jersey Wines. As summer fades, though, red wines grow in popularity.
If customers want to give a taste of wine a try before purchase, the store features a "wine machine" that allows those over 21 to sample up to eight wines at a half-ounce each from a dispenser. The popular convenience allows for purchase of a new wine with out much risk-taking.
Not that into wine or beer? Jersey Fine Wines offers an extensive collection of spirits that includes everything from "The Kraken" a flavored rum to "The Macallan" perhaps the world's finest single-malt scotch.
"Our goal is to offer the best selection at the lest expensive price," said Pinter.
