EAST Brunswick: Power Wash Turns into a Power Grab


EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - While power washing a home on Henry Street, two burglars took advantage of the owner's brief absence to help themselves to her property.

According to a report issued today, the East Brunswick Police charged two individuals with Burglary after they stole items from inside a residence they were hired to power wash. 

Patrol units responded to a residence on Henry Street and spoke with the victim, who stated that she left for a short time while the individuals were power washing the residence.  When she returned, she observed John Solazzo, 53 of Monroe, NJ and Dayna Ochoa-Aragon, 31 of North Brunswick, NJ, exiting the rear of the residence carrying items out of her home.

The victim stated that Solazzo and Ochoa-Aragon had accessed a rear sun room of the home but not the main residence.

Solazzo was charged with Burglary and Theft, while Ochoa-Aragon was charged with Burglary, Theft and Hindering Apprehension.  Ochoa-Aragon additionally had an outstanding warrant for $10,000.00 for prostitution out of North Bergen and posted bail. 

Both were issued summonses and released.
