EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - An internal communication within the East Brunswick Police Department led to a release of unverified information yesterday.  On May 31, the East Brunswick Police Department received information of possible retaliatory actions against perceived police supporters.

The department has not yet confirmed the information, but administrators did in fact advise police personnel to be vigilant during their patrols. The message was reported on the "Neighbors" APP and caused some online conversation on local social media.  Nixle is the official outlet of the East Brunswick Police Department.

"Unfortunately, this information was disseminated to the public without approval. There was one reported incident of harassment which is being investigated by the Investigative Division," said East Brunswick Police Chief Frank LoSacco.

"As always, the East Brunswick Police Department thanks the community for their unwavering support and will continue to serve East Brunswick Township with Honor, Integrity and Public Trust," said an official report issued by the EBPD today.
