EBPL Holds Technology Week

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – The East Brunswick Public Library will recognize Hour of Code by holding a Technology Week December 6-12 with programs for all ages.

Featured programs include a personal drone demonstration by Chaim Cohen of East Brunswick High School on December 6 at 2 PM; a workshop with filmmaker Zack Morrison on how to create a movie using mobile technology on December 8 at 7PM; the second annual Hour of Code programming academy for teens on Friday, December 11 at 5PM; and LEGO Stars Wars workshops for children ages 6-12 on Saturday, December 12 at 2 and 3:30PM.

The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of individuals in over 180 countries designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics of computer science. Every 21st-century citizen should have the opportunity to take part in creating technology that is changing our world. The basics help nurture creativity and problem-solving skills, and prepare everyone for any future career.
