ASBURY PARK, NJ - With the kids off for a long weekend a free movie Friday at the shore sounds nice especially since there aren't too many things that don't cost money anymore.

The iconic Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park will be hosting "Free Movie Fridays" in November. It starts off this week with the 1984 classic comedy, "Ghostbusters,"  staring Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd. Doors open up at 7:30 p.m. and children of all ages are welcome.

Movie goers will be able to purchase concessions becuase what's a movie without snacks and there is a cash bar for patrons that are 21-years of age or older. Afterwards, there is an over 21 afterparty on the second floor mezzanine at the Paramount that will feature music and entertainment by DJ Mike Longo.

Future "Free Movie Fridays" will feature other eighties hits. The schedule is:

  • "E.T." - November 13
  • "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" - November 20
  • "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" - November 27
