Free Outdoor Historic Concert Series at East Jersey Old Town Village

Historical music with Michael Arenella Credits: Middlesex County Office of Information

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ - — The Middlesex County Office of Arts and History invites you to enjoy live music in a beautiful, historic setting.

Admission is free. All performances take place at East Jersey Old Town Village, 1050 River Rd., Piscataway. 

The performance schedule is as follows:

Mark Heter and His Band

“Over There, Over Here: Music from the Great War”

The Fifes and Drums of the Old Barracks

“Music of the Revolutionary War”

6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17

Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra

“Jazz-Age Dance Orchestra”

Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios said: “Bring a blanket or lawn chair and join us at East Jersey Old Town Village. From classical music to jazz, this series has something for everyone!”

Freeholder Kenneth Armwood, Chair of the County’s Business Development and Education Committee, added: “The Village is the perfect setting for live entertainment. I encourage all residents to join us for these wonderful free music events.” 

All concerts are free. Please bring your own blanket or lawn chair to the event. For more information call (732) 745-3030, ext. 310. Persons with hearing disabilities may dial (732) 745-3888 (TTY users only) or 711, the New Jersey Relay System. In case of inclement weather, call 732-462-8262.

Food trucks will be on site during the performances.

East Jersey Old Town Village is an accessible site. American Sign Language Interpreter can be provided with a two-week advance request. Wheelchairs are available upon request for visitors who may need assistance from the parking lot to the program.

Funding for “Historical Music Series” is provided in part by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the New Jersey Historical Commission/New Jersey Department of State.
