SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School girls varsity soccer team remained undefeated, beating John F. Kennedy Memorial High School, 5-1 on Monday. Alexa Reilly scored two goals in the Charger victory. Carolina Fernandez netted her fourth goal of the young season and also notched an assist for Spotswood. Alessia Tavella scored in her second straight game and had an assist as well.

Freshman Sofia Vieira scored her first varsity goal in the win. Lauriana McLeod and Gina Ridgway both added assists.

Spotswood jumped out to a three goal lead in the first half. The Mustangs scored their only goal late in the game on a shot by Destiny Pagan. Jaylin Cabera made 16 saves for JFK.

Megan McCook and Kyra Smith both spent time in goal for the Chargers to combine for the win. Each made one save.

Their victory moves the Chargers overall season record to 3-0, 2-0 in conference play. Spotswood will travel to Middlesex High School on Wednesday to take on the Blue Jays at 4 p.m.
