Grab a Buddy and Go Get Muddy: 40th Annual East Brunswick Road Races and Your First Mud Run October 15

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ– The Township of East Brunswick and the Raritan Valley Road Runners are sponsoring the 40th Annual East Brunswick Road Races.  Participants will enjoy a Kids Dash, a 1-Mile Fun Run, and a 5K and 10K race.  This popular community event will be held at the Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road on Sunday, October 15, 2017.  Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m.  Kids Dashes will be at 9:00 a.m., the 1-Mile Fun Run will be at

9:30 a.m. and the 5K and 10K races will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Races are held rain or shine.

Race features include pumpkins to all "Kids Dash" participants and T-shirts to all pre-registered runners. Trophies will be awarded to the top three 5K and 10K overall and age groups.  Participants will also enjoy music and refreshments.  The East Brunswick Youth Council will be on hand to do free face-painting.

In addition, the Township of East Brunswick will be hosting Your First Mud Run starting at 11:00 a.m. "Your First Mud Run" is the only mud run in the country designed so both parents and kids can run together. The courses is 1.5 - 2 miles and include 10 - 16 obstacles that are designed for adults and kids. If you ever thought about doing a mud run, East Brunswick's is a perfect "first timer" event. Anyone 6 years old and up can participate in the fun. Sign up as an individual or sign up as a team.

Your First Mud Run will benefit the East Brunswick Community Food Pantry, as well as any other charity that creates a team for the run and has members join the team.  Should you wish to run in the mud run and don't have a specific charity to donate to - join the "East Brunswick Community Food Pantry" Team so they get a double donation!  For more information and to register online visit www.YourFirstMudRun.com.
