MILLTOWN/SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Both Milltown and Spotswood will have curfews tonight as the boroughs celebrate Halloween. Milltown and Spotswood's curfews are 9 p.m.

The Spotswood Police Department will have extra patrols according to the Spotswood Borough website to enforce this evening's curfew as well as to insure the safety of tricker treaters. The Milltown Police Department reminded residents via a Nixle advisory that all trick or treating should be finished by 9 p.m.

The Spotswood Recreation Departments is hosting its annual Trunk or Treat/Halloween Dance Party this evening at Spotswood High School from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Cars participating in the Trunk or Treat portion of the festivities should arrive at the side parking lot at Spotswood High School between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The lot will be closed to all traffic at 6:30 p.m.

When the trick or treating is done, residents are invited to head in to the Spotswood High School Cafetorium for a dance party hosted by DJ Wacky Wayne and some pizza. Prizes will be awarded for best decorated trunks as well as the top costumes.

The Spotswood Recreation Department is also asking residents participating in the Trunk or Treak/Dance Party to bring packaged socks, underwear and t-shirts for kids and adults for a Trunk or Treat Sock Drive. All of the collected items will be distributed to homeless shelters throughout Middlesex County.
