HELMETTA, NJ - Borough residents will be heading to the polls on Tuesday, November 7 to decide on a governor, a state senator, two members of the general assembly, a surrogate and three freeholders. On the local front, Helmetta voters will be choosing two members of the borough council.
Republican Noreen Carolan-Genthie will be seeking re-election to her seat on the council. Voters will be casting a ballot for two seats. However, only Carolan-Genthe and Joseph J. Perez are running. Perez was nominated by petition.
One seat on the Spotswood Board of Education is also up for grabs on the Election Day ballot. Bertrand Louis is seeking re-election and is running unopposed.
Borough offices will be closed in Helmetta on Election Day. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Borough Hall. A sample ballot is available at the Middlesex County website.
