Kindergarten Registration Upcoming

HELMETTA/SPOTSWOOD/MILLTOWN, NJ - The time of year has arrived to register children for the start of kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year. In Spotswood and Helmetta, children must be five years of age on or before October 1, 2017 to enter school in the Spotswood School District. However in Milltown, a child must be five years of age on or before October 31, 2017 to start kindergarten in September.

Milltown parents and guardians can pick up registration packets at the Parkview School Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Packets can be picked up now through mid-February and must be completed and returned by March 3. Forms can also be downloaded from the Milltown Public Schools' website. The registration packet includes all the necessary proof of residency and medical information as well as family and in-coming student data forms that needs to be filled out. The Parkview School is located at 80 Violet Terrace in Milltown.

Spotswood and Helmetta parents and guardians can download the necessary kindergarten registration forms on the Spotswood Public Schools' website. Completed registration packets should be brought to the Schoenly School Media Center during Kindergarten Registration, which will be held during the following dates and times:

  • February 8 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
  • February 9 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.

The registration packet also includes information regarding the necessary forms of documentation required to register a child for kindergarten in the Spotswood School District. The Schoenly School is located at 80 Kane Avenue in Spotswood.
