“We are excited to offer this opportunity to introduce and educate potential new owners on the ins-and-outs of owning a Standardbred racehorse in a qualified environment with experienced Standardbred professionals,” said M. Kelly Young, executive director, Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund. "Owning a horse can be fun and rewarding, but it is a big step and no one should go in blind. We want to serve as a resource for first-time Standardbred owners and make the process of getting involved in this industry as easy as possible."

Following the panels, all participants are invited to stay for lunch and live racing at Goshen Historic Track, hosted by the Agriculture and New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund. There is no cost to this program, but reservations are requested to ensure sufficient materials are available. To RSVP for this event, please contact Angie McGrath at or call 518-694-5002.

The Harness Racing Museum is located at 240 Main Street, Goshen, N.Y. For more information on the New York Sire Stakes, please visit .
