BASKING RIDGE, NJ – The Friends of Lord Stirling Stable (FLSS) will present the support organization's 19th Annual Holiday Festival - a chance to visit Santa's workshop, ride ponies, and buy gifts - from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2 & 3, at Lord Stirling Stable in Basking Ridge.

Lord Stirling students will also display their equestrian skills starting at 9 a.m. on both days.

The stable, part of the Somerset County Park, is located 256 S. Maple Ave.

Children can enjoy hayrides through the woods to see Santa at his house, weather permitting. Santa’s Workshop will be open to visitors for games, craft projects, food, and more.

Pony rides will also be available at various times throughout the festival.  Admission and parking are free.

Holiday shopping opportunities

Adults can do some unique holiday shopping while exploring the offerings at the annual Silent Auction, which benefits the Lord Stirling School Horse Retirement Fund, another FLSS initiative.
