Mark The Calendar For Important Spotswood School District Dates


SPOTSWOOD, NJ - September means back-to-school, sports, dance and many more after school activities that make life just a little crazier for parents. Mark the calendar now for upcoming important dates as students head back to the classroom in a few weeks.

Back-to-School Nights are as follows for schools in the Spotswood School District:

  • Schoenly School, Tuesday, September 12 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Appleby School, Thursday, September 14 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Memorial Middle School, Monday, September 18 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Spotswood High School, Tuesday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Orientation for incoming kindergarteners will be held on Tuesday, September 6. The time depends on the child's teacher. Teacher assignments will be available via Genesis on August 25. Orientation times are either 12:30 p .m. or 1:15 p.m. Preschool orientation is as 2 p.m. on September 6 as well.

Band information night for fourth graders at the Appleby School is on Wednesday, September 13 at 5 p.m. Students interested in playing an instrument can obtain inforamtion on the fourth grade band program and try out potential instruments.

Parents of Spotswood High School juniors and seniors will want to save the date for Thursday, September 28. Senior College Planning and Financial Aide Night will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Spotswood High School Cafetorium.

Students return to school in the Spotswood School District on Thursday, September 7. Teachers return to school on Tuesday, September 5.

Extreme Heat Forecast Forces Early Dismissal at 3 City Schools

NEW BRUNSWICK - Students Roosevelt, Lincoln and Livingston schools will have an early dismissal at 1:40 p.m. on Monday because of the anticipated high temperatures.
