CARTERET, NJ - The Spotswood High School girls varsity  basketball put together their third straight win against Carteret High School on January 13 with a 50-31 victory. Senior Mary Beth Barnosky netted 14 points to help lead the Chargers' offense. Julie Raba and Savannah Robinson both scored seven in the win while Maddie Hellerich chipped in six. Alonna Williams put 14 points on the board for the Ramblers and Arielys Lopez added nine.

Spotswood took a 24-16 lead into the halftime break and held Carteret to only 6 fourth quarter points to nail down the win. They improved their overall record for 2016-17 to 7-5. Their conference record on the season is 6-2. The Chargers will look to make it four in a row when they take on the rival Rams on Tuesday, January 17 at South River High School. Tip off is at 5:30 p.m.
