NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Billows of smoke, visibile for miles, continue to pour out of a massive warehouse fire on Livingston Avenue Wednesday morning.

According to North Brunswick Police,  the North Brunswick Fire Department is currently on the scene and operating at a very large warehouse fire at 1600 Livingston Avenue.

According to published reports, fire broke out at the DCH Toyota Warehouse near the Route 1 exit ramp to Livingston Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

Police are telling motorists in the area to expect closures and delays as several fire departments work to contain the blaze.

Police said the area is better described as Livingston Avenue, near the ramp to Route 1 north.

According to published reports, several apartments near the fire have been evacuated.

Although the proximity of the fire could affect service on the New Jersey Transit, Northeast Corridor rail service, no delays have been reported by that agency as of 8 a.m.

Police are asking people to avoid the area if possible.
