Dear East Brunswick Resident,

As the Mayor of East Brunswick Township, I am pleased to share with you a new program that could reduce your property tax bill each year. East Brunswick is proud to be one of several communities in New Jersey to offer such a program and one of the few to offer multiple of them.

Earlier this year, I introduced the Shop East Brunswick Rewards Program. In a continuing effort to combat property taxes, I am happy to offer residents a bold second option to further reduce property taxes. This new property tax reward program is the East Brunswick Estate Card.

The East Brunswick Estate Card is a debit card that earns you a reward on every transaction you make that is then applied directly towards your property tax. This program runs at no cost to the taxpayers. Additionally, local and online spending at participating merchants can earn an even greater amount of tax credit.

The program is designed to not only help you personally, but also to help support and grow local businesses. I am very excited to about this new program and hope you will be too. You can learn more about the program and sign up for it at EastBrunswickEstateCard.com.

We want to ensure that East Brunswick continues to be a great place to live, work, raise a family and grow a business. We hope that this program is utilized by all to help you and support our local merchants.

Sincerely,

Brad J Cohen

Mayor, East Brunswick

This time, though, it will be the hardworking office and ancillary staff from our small business private medical practices.  A bill called “The Out-of-Network Consumer Protection Bill” A-2039/S-485 looks poised to make ...

Retro Review: Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo

Retro Review: Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo (Citadel Press, 1970)

How does a reviewer do justice to a book called “the great American novel”? I first read Johnny Got His Gun during the Viet Nam war, when young people, nationwide, were protesting fighting in a war that was a senseless waste of life; a war in which the United States had no business participating.

The Truth About My Reading

The Truth About My Reading

I didn't get my Composition and Literature teacher at Montclair State College at all. A crusty old man with a dour disposition, Mr. Smith always seemed angry and rude. He appropriately intimidated freshmen, even me, an English major, who found this common core course beneath my dignity. Frankly, as a graduate of Highland Park High School, and a survivor of Mrs.
