SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Grace Mehr powered the Spotswood High School girls varsity basketball team to a much needed win against Wardlaw-Hartridge yesterday. Mehr's 23 points and eight rebounds helped to propel the Chargers to a 64-36 victory. 

January has been a difficult month for the Chargers. Yesterday's win was only the third in the last eight games. The Chargers jumped out to a 21-8 lead in the first quarter and didn't look back. They were up 37-19 by the halftime break and outshot the Rams 27-17 in the second half.

Courtney Potter also had a strong game for the Chargers with ten points and eight rebounds.

Priya Golding had the hot hand for Wardlaw-Hartridge, scoring 16 points.

The Chargers will look to stay on the winning track with a 6 p.m. home game against Cardinal McCarrick.
