MILLTOWN, NJ - As local towns plan proactively in anticipation for a possible severe snowstorm on Tuesday, March 14, the Milltown Police Department is reminding residents via a Nixle advisory that all vehicles must be removed from the roadways in the event of snow.

Milltown Borough Ordinance 7-10(e) states that "during the period commencing one hour after snow has been continuously falling and ending 12 hours after snow ceases to fall, no person shall park, stop, stand or leave abandoned a vehicle on any Borough street." Since the forecasted storm for March 14 may be severe in nature, the MPD is advising residents that vehicles left on the roadways will be towed and ticketed.

Residents are also being reminded by the Miltown Police Department to stay indoors and only travel on area roadways if the situation is absolutely essential.
