MILLTOWN, NJ - Due to the impending snow storm, the Milltown Public Works Department has cancelled trash removal for tomorrow (Friday, January 3).
This will enable Public Works to concentrate on snow removal as the impending storm seems to be a significant event. Tomorrow’s trash route will now be picked up on Monday, Jan. 6.
Vehicles must be removed from the streets when snowfall begins in order to properly plow. Failure to do so may cause the issuance of a summons. The following locations may be used for parking in a snow emergency: Milltown Library, Albert Avenue Park, Borough Hall and Michelin Field parking lot.
Primary roads will be plowed first, followed by side streets. Snow removal begins after 3 inches of snow has fallen. Residents and business owners must remove snow and ice from walkways within 24 hours of the end of the storm.
