New Brunswick Movie Theatre Introduces Dolby XXX, Reservable Recliners

NEW BRUNSWICK - In a place not so far, far away, the AMC Lowes New Brunswick 18 movie theater on Route 1 has been upgraded to provide Dolby Cinema technology with the latest in movie imaging and audio systems.

Beginning this weekend, the theater on the southbound side of Route 1 will the enhanced projection system created at the Dolby Laboratories in California.

The technology is designed to provide more vivid colors and and increased sense of depth.

Additional, the theaters will have an enhanced sound system, coming from various directions, including overhead, according to statement from Dolby officials.

AMC has also improved seating, providing recliners that movie-goers can reserve in advance. The seats are design to pulsate in coordination with the action on the screen.

The movie theater chain is one of several that now banking on the comfort of the spacious seating to bring in customers.

The Dolby technology and nw seats are being offered just as "Dead Pool 2" is being released this weekend.
